Electric Vehicles

What are Electric Vehicles?

An electric vehicle is a vehicle that runs purely on electricity, much like a large, powerful version of a remote-control car. Instead of filling it up with gasoline at a pump, you ‘refuel’ it by plugging it into an electrical outlet, just like you would charge your cell phone or laptop.

Beyond being eco-friendly, electric vehicles bring a new level of intelligence and innovation to mobility. Smart connectivity features, regenerative braking, fast-charging capabilities, and lower maintenance requirements make EVs both convenient and future-ready. As governments and manufacturers worldwide accelerate the transition toward sustainable transportation, EVs stand at the forefront—reshaping mobility and driving us toward a cleaner and greener future.

Why learn electric vehicles?

Learning Electric Vehicles places you at the forefront of a global transformation in transportation and sustainable mobility. As governments and industries push toward cleaner, smarter, and more efficient transport systems, the demand for skilled EV professionals is rapidly rising. This course helps you understand how electric motors, batteries, power electronics, and charging systems work, preparing you to contribute to the design, manufacturing, maintenance, and innovation of next-generation vehicles. By mastering EV technology, you gain future-ready skills, strong career opportunities, and the ability to support a greener and more energy-secure world.

You’ll explore how EV range, efficiency, and performance are calculated, gain practical skills in analyzing powertrain architectures, and learn to work with real-world tools used for EV design, diagnostics, and testing. By the end, you’ll be equipped with industry-ready knowledge to contribute confidently to the rapidly growing e-mobility ecosystem.

Qualifications Required

Can a commerce or arts student also learn electric vehicles?

Yes, a commerce or arts student can learn electric vehicles and build a successful career. TCoE will help you learn and understand the basic fundamentals using its unique hands-on training approach, thus helping any student with any kind of background to learn electric vehicles.

There is no minimum qualification, but its easier if you have done 10+2 level science. Still, any student from any background can learn electric vehicles.

Time Required to Learn

Typically our courses are 36 hours (introductory / crash course) to 600 hours (long term).

A student can spend 2 hours / day (in 3 weeks) to 6 hours / day (in 1 week) to complete a 36 hours course.

A school/ college going student can typically spend 4 hours per week (in 9 weeks) to 6 hours per week (6 weeks), to complete the 36 hours course.

For a 600 hours course, a student may need to give more time per week – typically 20 hours per week (total 30 weeks = 7 months) to 30 hours per week (total 20 weeks = 5 months) to complete the course.
