The Solar PV Monitoring Technician Course is a 36 hour practical training program.

It is designed to prepare learners for real-time monitoring, performance analysis, and fault identification in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems deployed in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The course blends essential electrical concepts with hands-on exposure to monitoring tools, data platforms, and field diagnostics used in modern solar plants.

Through structured modules, participants learn:

– Basics of solar energy, PV module operation, and system components
– PV system performance parameters (irradiance, voltage, current, power, PR, CUF)
– Monitoring architectures for off-grid, on-grid, and hybrid systems
– Use of data loggers, smart meters, IoT sensors, and SCADA interfaces

– Alarm interpretation, event logs, and performance deviation analysis
